Use Dynamic labeling when working with AlignStar documents containing dense concentrations of accounts or small map objects. Dynamic labeling allows you to easily view, query, select and realign accounts or map objects that may be obscured or overlapping. The dynamic label tool also allows you to perform these operations without the need to zoom into an area.
Select the Dynamic
label tool from the toolbar. If the tool is inactive
or grayed out you will need to zoom in closer using the Zoom
tool before using Dynamic labels.
Your cursor changes to the Dynamic label

Move the cursor over the area on the map that you would like to see. The Dynamic label feature immediately begins to work displaying up to 40 labels at once with spider leg connectors from each label to the associated account or map object on the map.
Select the Dynamic

Click once on the area of the map that you want to work on and the Dynamic labels lock in place allowing you to select other tools and perform actions.
Select the Dynamic label tool from the toolbar. Click anywhere on the map. The Dynamic labels become de-selected.
Alternatively you can make a change to your map view using any of the navigation tools and your Dynamic labels will be de-selected.
Click once on the area of the map that you want to work on and the Dynamic labels lock in place allowing you to select other tools and perform actions.
