AlignStar Screen Shots...
The following screen shots were created using AlignStar. They depict a variety of applications and features available in the software. For more details please review the features list.

Here is a simple territory map displaying ZIP Code defined territories with a County overlay.

In this map territories are defined by 5-Digit ZIP Codes. The map includes ZIP code labels, highways and water features.

One of our clients sells pharmaceutical products for companion animals (e.g. dogs and cats). This thematic map displays the total dog population by 5-digit ZIP Code.

This map uses the same data as the map above, however here the data is summarized to the County level making it easier to analyze on this small scale map.

A more complex map, this displays the spatial relationship between 2 variables. In this case the reader wanted to show the relationship between market potential (total dogs) and behavior (visits to a veterinarian).

The Data Browser is a useful tool when evaluating territories for balance. Here you can see the percent deviation from the mean for a few variables with data summed to the territory level.

Another technique used for displaying data is a graduated symbol map. This type of display is very useful because it allows you to display your data on top of a territory map allowing you to "see" your data while making territory changes. The diameter of the symbol varies continuously based on the data value for each map unit (in this case, Counties).

This type of display is commonly referred to as a dot density analysis. In this case, each dot represents $500 in consumer expenditures for flea and tick products. As above, the data appears as an overlay on a territory map.

Histograms are used to quickly scan territories for balance on key data metrics. This chart compares territories on 2 variables that are not correlated.

AlignStar supports point based alignments as well as geographic alignments. This map shows territories that are comprised entirely of Walmart locations in the US. Also note the addition of Canada and Mexico to the basemap here. This user has licensed the Canada & Mexico Add-on map set.

AlignStar can be used for territory design in most countries of the world through the use of our Add-On map sets. This map shows territories that are created using Post Codes in Great Britain.
