July 20, 2009 Burlington, MA — TTG today announced the availability of AlignStar Desktop V5.0 alignment software. The new release incorporates a combination of new optimization technology, web publishing, performance improvements and new features as requested by TTG's active AlignStar user base. The updated software is available immediately as a free download for users of all AlignStar Editions including Enterprise, Corporate, Small Business and Field.
Among the changes in AlignStar Desktop V5.0 are the new Personnel Manager, Excentric Labeling, several new optimization algorithms and options, a new reporting engine with support for Crystal Reports XI, Pack 'N Go, single click optimization, an improved Territory Expert® and much more.
In addition, the new release of AlignStar Desktop V5 contains built-in support for web publishing which will support AlignStar Online due out later this year. The web publishing capability allows users to publish their territory alignments along with any associated data metrics to a secure web server. The AlignStar administrator can then invite users to log in remotely to view, collaborate on and make suggested changes to the proposed alignment. Proposed changes can then be downloaded by the administrator, reviewed and, if appropriate, accepted and merged into the master document.
